Safety and Environmental Protection Policy as per ISM Code

The Company should establish a safety and environmental protection policy, and implement and maintain it at all levels of the organization both ship-based as well as shore-based.

The objectives of the Code are to ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, and avoidance of damage to the environment, in particular, to the marine environment, and to property. 

The objective of the Company should:

  • Provide safe practices in ship operation
  • Provide a safe working environment  
  • Assess all identified risks to its ship, personnel, and the environment and establish appropriate safeguards.
  • Continuously improve safety management skills of personnel ashore and aboard ships, including preparing for emergencies related both to safety and environmental protection.

  • Ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, and avoidance of damage to the marine environment and to ship or property.

The objectives of the Company are achieved by the following:

  • Comply with Mandatory rules, regulations, Codes, guidelines, and standards applicable to the company's SMS (Safety Management System).

  • Continuously monitor all safety aspects of the vessel. 
  • Evaluating SMS through internal audits and management reviews.

  • Providing the ship's master with all the necessary authority and support to prepare and respond to emergencies.
  • Providing documented instructions for various operating conditions that give guidance on the duties of each personnel.
  • Adopt a risk-based approach to all operations.
  • Establishing an effective System of communication within the organization. 
  • Maintaining contingency procedures for reporting and responding to incidents in order to minimize the risk to personnel, ship, and to the marine environment.
  • Reviewing the SMS annually to verify its effectiveness.
